Final Days in Russia

Our next stop on the competition trail was Moscow, arriving on January 23, 2021. This was the first competition in which I got to compete in the FINALS. To qualify, I did a lay-full: a lay-full is two flips – the first flip is straight, and then the second is with a twist. I got a really high score for a lay-full in a world cup. It can be pretty tricky making it into finals with this trick because other competitors are usually doing more difficult tricks. As finals started, they had a firework show and cool drummers that were all glowing in the dark. In Finals, I performed another lay-full and landed it, but sadly the score wasn't good enough to get into super finals.

The next stop on our journey was Raubichi, Belarus. This competition was really fun, but I sadly didn't make it into finals with my jump.

Ending the journey, I can’t help but think how fun all of these competitions were and what an incredible experience each of the competitions and destinations were. I can't wait to return!
